#MPIWI

Join us in Lake Geneva at the beautiful The Abbey Resort for a meaningful day of collaboration that will change how you see the world and interact with your team and colleagues.

Prior to all of the education, why not take advantage of The Abbey’s special MPI rate and join us on Wednesday evening, October 16 for a scenic cruise on Lake Geneva? Departing from the municipal pier just steps from The Abbey’s lobby, enjoy the Fall colors and network with your peers while taking in the sights of the many historic estates that make up the “Hamptons of the Midwest.”  The team at Geneva Lake Cruise Line will highlight points of interest, and appetizers and beverages will be included.

Our featured speaker is Anna Nielsen with Conflict Capable Solutions. Anna's presentation Conflict Capable Conversations for Teams and Negotiations  will demonstrate the skills and mindset needed to thrive amidst challenges. Conflict Capable Conversations for Teams and Negotiations will show a structured process for addressing conflict that reduces fear, increases productivity, strengthens relationships and sparks innovative ideas. Her presentation will help you put a plan in place for how you and your team handle conflict, including specific language, skills and techniques. As a seasoned speaker, Anna has presented at several SHRM conferences around the nation, and her keynote speeches have been described as “dynamic, funny, refreshing and transformative".

Our program will also feature a 30 minute eye opening segment on human trafficking supported by the MPI Foundation.  Dawn Fiedler from Join the Movement will share what to look for and how to respond when we see evidence of human trafficking on our travels and at our properties.   Aligned with this presentation we will be collecting items to support Join the Movement's (JTM) CARE Team.   The JTM CARE Team provides emergency advocacy services on the weekends to victims of violence.  We are collecting brand new travel-sized toiletries to create gift bags to hand out to victims.  Click here to view the CARE Team wish list.

The October program is sure to be a “can’t miss” opportunity, and The Abbey Resort looks forward to welcoming you!
