The Art of Connecting People from a Distance

Jessica L. Levin, MBA, CMP, CAE, DES

As meeting industry professionals, we have always known that face-to-face meetings are valuable.  Having them suddenly taken away is proving what a gift they truly are.  It's not just meetings, but lunches and coffees where we build and strengthen relationships.  For some people, connecting with others comes naturally. For others it's more of a challenge.  This session will cover tips on how to be a connector and how to best maintain, grow and create meaningful business relationships in a virtual world and in the future.

The session will be interactive and will give you a chance to ask questions and test some of the ideas that will be discussed.  Whether you are a pro sales professional or someone who has always been behind the scenes, you will leave the session having learned something new and with a new perspective on being a connector.
To get the most out of the session, attendees will be encouraged to join using video.  That's right, pants are required!

Learning outcomes:
• Tactical steps to build relationships and connect with others
• The value of connecting virtually when live isn’t possible
• Practice new ideas learned through interactive group break-out discussions
