4:00-6:00 p.m. Advanced Planner Roundtable
6:00-8:00 p.m. Optional Networking Reception
MPI Washington State Chapter (MPIWSC) invites advanced-level planner members & non-members to join us at our upcoming quarterly Advanced Planner Roundtable. Kicking-off the roundtables this year, we are inviting qualifying planners to bring 1 additional planner who doesn’t fully meet the criteria but whom they feel would benefit from the experience. Note: The Advanced Planner must attend in order to bring the additional planner.
The format of the roundtable will be to discuss 3 pre-selected topics for about an hour and then we will have an hour of open discussion on whatever is on our minds. After the roundtable, please join us for a networking “happy hour” with our sponsor, The Allison Inn & Spa.
The 3 topics for this roundtable are:
Planner Peeves: What are yours and what steps do you take to avoid them happening in your events?
Almost 2 years after Marriott changed its’ commission structure, have you noticed an impact to your meetings or the way you do business? What might still be coming?
Share your Event Security Best Practices
These roundtables are designed for high-level PLANNERS ONLY and will allow you to collaborate with like-minded colleagues, discuss issues and solutions unique to you, and have the opportunity for some quality networking immediately following!
You are an Advanced Planner if you have any THREE of the four below:
You have worked in a role where full service meeting planning is your primary function for 10 or more years.
You have the title of Senior, Manager or Director (or equivalent).
You act as a lead planner on annual International program(s).
You act as a lead planner on meetings with a total annual spend of $5 million or more.
Based on feedback from prior roundtables, we have decided to open this one meeting, so that you may invite a colleague to attend with you who does not meet the criteria.
