Agenda
11:00 am - 11:30 am - Registration
11:30 am - 1:30 pm - Networking Lunch, Speaker, Awards
Come join us in derby-esque attire at the racecourse of Emerald Downs where you’ll enjoy a networking lunch and an impactful talk from “half-assed” Elisa Hays.
In a truck accident a few years ago, half of Elisa Hay’s rear end was removed in an ICU while surgeons raced to save her life. So, you could say she’s literally a half-assed amputee. Saving her life took more than 20 major surgeries, including a high-risk kidney transplant, at 7 hospitals in 4 states spanning the North American continent. Indeed, it took an entire community of support for Elisa to be alive today. Now her experience is inspiring thousands to live more fully in her surprisingly funny and engaging program.
Prior to the speaker, our program will appreciate YOU, our wonderful MPIWSC members, and your membership milestones. We’ll showcase the well-deserved MPIWSC nominees and winners of the 2018-2019 Annual Chapter Awards. We’ll cover the Planner/Supplier of the Year, Rising Star Award, Corbin Ball Industry Leader of the Year and Committee of the Year. We can’t wait to see you there!
As a result of this experience, Elisa discovered that leadership isn’t about what you do. Job titles don’t make leaders. Leadership is about who you are, in choices practiced daily, that show up when you confront adversity. And that show up at work, at home, and in all your volunteer efforts.
In her surprisingly funny, and very engaging program, which Elisa shares 4 specific actions that, when taken consistently in all things big and small, catapult us from surviving to service, and from toughing it out to triumph. It is an entire attitude adjustment that audiences never forget.
Elisa inspires extraordinary leadership in a broad range of industries and at all levels of organizations. And relies on her decades of improvisation, performance and comedy to engage audiences around the world.
