"Cyber Safety: Is Your Head in the Cloud?"
Featuring Michael Owen

In today's connected world, it's hard to imagine a time when access to the internet wasn't within the palm of everyone’s hands. Whether using a meeting app, taking notes, texting, emailing or posting to social media, connectivity is a vital part of everyday life – and every meeting. Because of this, online access is now an expectation rather than a perk. While this makes organizing and executing events a more efficient process, protecting valuable information stored on personal devices now must be a high priority for planners. Is the hotel Wi‐Fi network in your room and meeting space secure? Are your registration and computer lab devices protected? Creating a cyber‐safe environment is crucial, not only because of attendees' expectations, but also because every phone, tablet and laptop is an entry point for potential harm to planners, delegates and their events.
In this session we will: Identify the targets of attackers
Identify the attacks that are currently facing meetings & events
Share approaches to reduce risk
