As I conclude my tenure as president of the MPI THCC, I want to take a moment to reflect on the journey we've shared and express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your commitment, hard work, and passion for our mission.
When I first assumed the role of president, I was inspired by the opportunity to work with such a dedicated group of individuals who share a common vision to Engage, Empower, & Elevate. Together, we have achieved incredible milestones, including the development of impactful education content, the successful CMP Study Group, and the icing on the cake—Texas Education Conference (TEC24). These successes are a direct result of the collective effort and unwavering spirit of the volunteers, staff, and supporters who have been involved with the association.
As we navigated challenges along the way, I’ve been continually impressed by how we came together to overcome obstacles and push forward with creativity and resilience. The commitment shown by each person—whether you were behind the scenes or front and center—has been the driving force behind everything we’ve accomplished.
One of the highlights of my tenure was seeing our community grow not only in numbers but also in its sense of connection and purpose. MPI Texas Hill Country Chapter and the MPI Houston Area Chapter - TEC24, in particular, demonstrated our ability to create something truly special—an event that was both educational and inspirational, and one that exemplified our mission to Engage, Empower, & Elevate. I could not be prouder of what we accomplished as a team.
Looking ahead, I am confident that the foundation we've built will continue to inspire and empower others. The future of the chapter is bright, and I am excited for what lies ahead under the leadership of Donna Harbers. Our mission is strong, and our community is capable of achieving even greater things.
I want to express my deepest thanks to every volunteer, staff member, and supporter who has made this journey so fulfilling. It has truly been an honor to serve as president of such an incredible organization, and I will always cherish the relationships, lessons, and memories that have come from working alongside each of you.
While my time as president is coming to an end, my commitment to our mission remains as strong as ever. I look forward to continuing to support the chapter in any way I can and to seeing all the amazing things you will continue to accomplish.
Warm regards,
Cherry Kay Abel
2024 MPI THCC President
