Thankful, grateful, and blessed! It’s the month of giving and we’re celebrating another fabulous volunteer, Susan Greenberg, CMP, CASE.
Susan has been a member with THCC since 2000. She has been very active and even earned her Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation. As a past THCC President and Past MPI International President, Susan now takes on the role of advisor to newer members, assisting in their growth and development. She believes that you get out what you put in. Her life’s mission statement is to, “ignite the light you see in others!”
Very driven early on, Susan has achieved most of the goals she set for herself. She is currently enjoying her new role with Hilton Hotels as Complexed Director of Sales & Marketing of Embassy Suites San Antonio Airport and Embassy Suites San Antonio Landmark. Her extensive hospitality career also includes Marriott and Omni. The secret to Susan’s success, she shares, is being clear on what her personal values are and making sure they line up with her actions.
What some of you may not know about Susan is that she is a certified executive chef. In her pre-Texas life, she owned a restaurant and bakery in South Florida and operated as a caterer. Being a chef comes in handy when her hotels are short-handed, and they need her to step in and make omelets.
Susan currently resides in Dripping Springs, Texas with her husband of 27 years, Mark, and their two foster dogs, Apollo, and Artemis. Since moving to Texas, the couple has fostered more than 17 dogs. In her spare time, Susan enjoys playing golf and is very involved in Zonta, a service organization “Tea Club”.
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I must share Chef Susan’s favorite part of the holiday. She shared that she loves to cook for “Friendsgiving.” And her signature dish is cranberry chutney. I’m sure her family and friends all feel as thankful, grateful, and blessed to have Susan in their lives as we at MPI THCC do!
