Mary Wilson - November 2021

She’s known as the heart of Visit Fort Worth. And we’re sweet on Mary Wilson, too, as our February Volunteer of the Month. 

Mary has been a member of MPI/THCC for over 20 years and serves as Chairperson of our Jingle & Mingle Holiday Event. Her and her team have worked hard to make the event a success during these unique times.  

Mary is currently enjoying her role as Director of Sales-Central Texas Region at Visit Fort Worth. She has served on numerous committees, and boards with Texas Society of Association Executives & International Association of Exhibitions and Events. With over 30 years in the hospitality industry, she aspires to continue her volunteer efforts, and mentor others in the industry to share her knowledge. 

If you know Mary, you know she loves to sing…it is her passion. But what you may not know is she worked in radio before hospitality and wanted to become a D.J. In the late 70’s & 80’s, she was also the singer in a band called Texas Tumbleweed. That sounds like our Mary.  She never met a microphone she didn’t like. 

Mary resides in Bee Cave, Texas with her soulmate Steve. The two have been married for 44 years and they have two adult sons they are very proud of. Mary & Steve enjoy making beautiful music together while golfing and boating on the lake. These two are definitely our couple goals as we head into the holiday of hearts.
