Holiday cheer is here and so is our latest Volunteer of the Month: Lou Canakes! Lou has been an MPI member and supporter of various chapters in DFW, SoCal, NorCal, Orlando, and New York since the ‘90’s.
Lou has represented many unique entertainment brands throughout his career, including opening SPIN-Austin in 2017. He is now the VP of Sales for the brand new Electric Shuffle in downtown Austin, supporting the sales team and event sales initiatives. Their very first event was hosting our chapter’s latest networking event, which was a historic opportunity for those who attended! Electric Shuffle is a London-based concept that offers in-house cocktails, dining, and high-tech shuffle boards. You can have up to 16 people per table playing simultaneously and using drone measurement technology that tallies scores automatically. How cool is that! There are only two US locations, Austin and Dallas. Be sure to ask Lou about team building opportunities as they can host private groups, retreats, holiday parties, and more.
Lou has lived in Austin for over four years and lives in the Oak Hill neighborhood with his fiancé and their combined family of 6, including their 13-month-old son, Kingston. He has a second career as a musician and has been performing for 30 years playing drums and touring the country with various artists. Lou enjoys kayaking, family events, sports including golf, and travel.
We thank Lou for his contributions and support of our chapter!
