Emily Atwood, July 2022

Give a shoutout to our newest Volunteer of the Month: Emily Atwood! I enjoyed reconnecting with Emily and fun fact, we both attended college together at New Mexico State University and are proud graduates from the Hotel Restaurant Tourism Management program. YAY for hospitality grads and for sharing a love of NM green chile!  

Emily has been a MPI member for many years and held three Board member positions for our chapter in the past. Formerly with Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront and Courtyard Marriott Austin Pflugerville, she is a few months into her new role as an area Sales Manager with Atrium Hospitality. Emily represents all 7 fabulous Hilton and Marriott hotels in their Texas portfolio while supporting Texas State Association clients. She’s happy in her new role and excited to reconnect with friends in MPI and TSAE!

Emily lives in Austin with her husband and three-year-old son. She enjoys lively family gatherings with her older step children, grandchildren, and siblings of all ages. Her and her husband share a passion for boating and moved to Austin to follow their dream of owning a boat rental service. Their business charters boats for groups on Lake Travis and is called C&E Boating ATX. She says it’s a lot of fun and can be a lot of work but hey, so is the hotel world that she’s accustomed to.
