Our volunteer of the month, Donna Harbers, shared that one great thing about MPI is that no matter where you are in your life, they always have opportunities where you can become involved and make a difference.
Donna has served 15+ years with MPI and was Chapter President from 2007-2008. She remained active for a while, then after a short break, decided she wanted to sharpen her sales skills, and now serves as a volunteer with the Sponsorship Team!
During her day job, Donna is Vice President of Meetings & Education for the Texas Apartment Association. She enjoys planning their board meetings of up to 200 people, securing speakers for their annual conferences, and truly, handling all things education.
One of Donna’s life highlights was meeting George W. Bush! He was keynote at a conference she attended…what a memorable experience. When she’s not hobnobbing with a president, she’s doing something she loves…crocheting. A hobby, not just to maintain her sanity these days, but she also donates her finished projects to family, friends, and those in need of a little extra happiness. Donna receives her joy from spending time with her daughter Megan, and dog Mars.
Her best trip ever…hands down, was to South Beach, Florida where she was able to enjoy quality time with Megan!
