MPISSN is excited to welcome three thought leaders from the Sacramento Area who will be generously sharing their knowledge on DE&I and how it can show up in the work we do within our industry. Each one of our panelists will have an opportunity to discuss actionable items that can make a difference in the community whether it be catering orders, AV teams that travel with them and how to make inclusive events.

Panelist:
Lanz Nalagan is honored to serve the LGBTQ+ community in his capacity as the Acting Chief Development Officer for the Center. Over the years, he grew passionate about campaign finance and philanthropy in the political and non-profit sectors, and he is grateful that his current work reflects that. After immigrating from the Philippines, Lanz grew up in the East Bay area and attended school in the beautiful Central Coast- earning a B.A in Political Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He also lived in Washington, D.C before settling down in Sacramento, CA.
Deryl Gamon's started as a freelance technician, then Deryl began to work for the national AV company, Projection Presentation Technology in Sacramento. He worked as a delivery driver, lead technician and eventually Assistant Director for Projection at the Sacramento Convention Center. Later, when Projection began to lose business and ultimately lost the Convention Center account, Deryl decided to start his own company, Sights & Sound AV. He started his company out of a garage, slowly and steadily building up clientele both locally and nationwide. After acting as an equipment supplier to the company Jeff Hess worked for at the Sacramento Convention Center, it was clear that Deryl's integrity and focus on service made for a natural partnership.
