President's Message

4th Quater - Fall 2024

In this final membership address, Lauren Goff, President of MPI Sacramento Sierra Nevada, shares heartfelt reflections on her term and some exciting upcoming events. She begins by reminiscing about the fun and success of the recent MPISSN Swinging Soiree Golf Tournament, a sunny day of golf, wine, and camaraderie made possible by dedicated organizers Lauren Pontier and Maria Dempsey, along with many generous sponsors. Lauren highlights the importance of member feedback, noting the insights gained from the chapter satisfaction survey. She emphasizes MPI's vision and mission, reminding members that the chapter thrives thanks to volunteer support and encouraging everyone to consider how they can get involved, maximize their membership, and develop new skills through volunteer opportunities.

Lauren wraps up with an enchanting preview of the upcoming Regency Era Ball, set for November 7th at Sacramento’s Elk’s Tower. With live music, delicious food and drink, dancing, and a silent auction, the gala promises to be an unforgettable evening where members will don period costumes and celebrate the installation of the new board. Lauren expresses gratitude to the chapter for their resilience and dedication, celebrating how the community has rebounded stronger than ever. As she transitions to Immediate Past President, Lauren looks forward to supporting the new leadership team in continuing the chapter’s impact and growth. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate, connect, and contribute to the vibrant MPI community!

2nd Quater - Spring 2024

Dear MPISSN Members,

I hope this message finds you all well and thriving. As we move forward into the new quarter, I am excited to share the latest happenings and upcoming events within our vibrant community.

First and foremost, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in our recently sold-out crab feed. It was a tremendous success, and such an achievement could not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of Sulema Peterson and her committee. Their efforts exemplify the spirit of collaboration and commitment that defines our organization.

Looking ahead, we have a series of engaging opportunities on the horizon that I am thrilled to announce. Mark your calendars for the "Swinging Soiree - Golf Tournament," set to take place on Wednesday, April 11th, at Woodcreek Golf Course. This event promises not only a day of friendly competition and networking but also a chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of one of our area's premier golf courses.

Additionally, in conjunction with our golf tournament, Global Meetings Industry Day is on April 11th. This is an excellent opportunity for us to come together and celebrate our industry's resilience, innovation, and impact. Make sure to register early to secure your spot at this important event.

This Wednesday, March 20th, we are hosting an educational session led by Troy Peters, who will enlighten us on "Smart Apps for Smart Devices." This session is designed to enhance our professional and personal lives by leveraging the latest in smart technology. Do not miss this opportunity to expand your digital toolkit.

Lastly, I am excited to remind you of the MPI World Education Congress (WEC) taking place in Louisville, Kentucky. WEC is an unparalleled platform for professional development, offering insights into the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in our industry. It's a fantastic opportunity for networking, learning, and growth.

As we embark on this new quarter, let's continue to support each other, engage with our community, and strive for excellence in all that we do. Your participation and enthusiasm fuel the success of our events and initiatives. Together, we can achieve great things.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to MPISSN. I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and celebrating our collective accomplishments.

Warmest regards,
Lauren Goff
President, MPISSN
