The Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) Program

Setting the Standard of Excellence

Through the CMP Program, individuals who are currently employed in meeting management have the opportunity to pursue continuing education, increased industry involvement and industry-wide recognition by achieving the CMP designation. The requirements for certification are based on professional experience and academic examination.

The elite CMP community now numbers in the thousands, with representatives in every sector of the industry -- from corporations and associations to governmental and institutional organizations.

The CMP certification program is a two-part process in which you must complete the CMP application to demonstrate your eligibility, and then successfully pass a written examination covering the functions performed in meeting management.

You may apply for the CMP at any time. Once approved, you have one year to take and pass the CMP exam before you have to reapply. Eligible applicants are notified via email from CIC. Candidates have one (1) year from the time that they are notified of their eligibility to pay the exam fee and take and pass the examination.

The CMP examination is administered at secure testing centers. Here are some local testing offices:

PROMETRIC TEST CENTER 5330 Primrose Drive Suite # 200 FAIR OAKS, CA 95628

2203: PROMETRIC TEST CENTER 2295 S. Virginia Street #16 RENO, NV 89502
