Visit Sacramento, like numerous other organizations across the nation, is committing to taking action and making change when it comes to diversity, equity and inclusion within the organization, the region and the travel industry. As part of that, longtime leader Sonya Bradley is taking a new position as Chief of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Visit Sacramento. In this session, you will hear how Visit Sacramento made the decision to integrate diversity, equity and inclusion into it’s core values and into the region’s tourism and hospitality industries and what that means for you as you plan your Sacramento meetings.
Sonya Bradley recently became the Chief of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Visit Sacramento and its family of brands: America's Farm to Fork Capital, Sacramento Sports Commission, Sacramento365, and Sac Event Crew. For the past 15 years she served as Chief Marketing Officer for the organization, overseeing brand, campaign and content strategies and execution. In this newly created position as head of DEI, Bradley will specifically address Visit Sacramento’s commitment to taking action and creating change internally and within the tourism and hospitality industries in the Sacramento region. Prior to joining Visit Sacramento, she worked in marketing communications at the San Jose Convention & Visitors Bureau and retail advertising for a major drug store campaign.
