Join MPISSN as we discuss one meeting planner’s journey from a scheduled in person conference to a virtual event due to the CA stay at home orders. We have all heard the phrase “PIVOT to virtual” repeatedly these past months. But what does this really mean? How can we do this successfully while still creating engaging content that attendees need and want while still brining in revenue for our organizations? In this session, Christine Feenstra will discuss her process for choosing the right platform/vendor and how she was able to triple her attendance rates after moving virtual in 30 days. Christine will discuss the lessons learned, provide a sample evaluation, virtual speaking tip sheet, and will conclude with a Q/A. Speaker: Christine Feenstra currently serves as Director of Member Learning & Events at Head Start California, an Association that advocates for Head Start Programs in California. Prior to her current role, she worked in medical education and accreditation for 10 years. Christine is the incoming Vice President of Education & Events for MPISSN, an avid thrift shopper (pre-COVID19), and lives in Sacramento with her husband and son and 3 dogs. Christine is passionate about turning problems into solutions and continues to look for ways to stay connected in the new normal.
