Sky and sun, landscapes, urban and rural backdrops, villagers, peasants, still lifes, along with the miseries and joys of humanity are all depicted in turn, colouring the canvas under the discerning eye of a painter contemplating the turn of the century.
The very concept of Imagine Van Gogh is grandiose: visitors wander among giant projections of the artist’s paintings, swept away by every brushstroke, detail, painting material and colour. Immersed in an extraordinary experience where all senses become fully awaken, viewers will be truly moved by such spectacular beauty. Visitors discover more than 200 paintings by the artist, including his most famous, painted between 1888 and 1890 in Provence, Arles and Auvers-sur-Oise.
Technology at the service of art - A spectacular and immersive exhibition of the works of Vincent van Gogh, will take viewers on a unique journey inside the artist’s paintings. A unique cultural project. In this exhibition, visitors of all ages discover a new way of reconnecting with the work of this great master.
This exhibition is the work of Annabelle Mauger and Julien Baron, who collaborated on the creation of immersive shows at Cathédrale d’images in Les Baux-de-Provence, using the concept of “Image Totale” conceived by Albert Plécy. For Imagine Van Gogh, they employed advanced techniques of multi-projection and immersive audio to add emotional depth to each image, allowing us to live and feel the creative energy of the esteemed artist.
Vincent van Gogh is one of the worlds’ best-known painters. His paintings grace the walls of museums, posters hung in college dorm rooms, mugs, shirts, you name it. It’s hard, even if you aren’t an art lover, to not have seen at least one piece of his work before.
Imagine Van Gogh, is an exhibition where one can admire The Starry Night, Irises and Sunflowers, or be drawn into the intimacy of his Bedroom in Arles. An experience that brings viewers to the heart of its images, Imagine Van Gogh is accompanied by the music of the great composers Saint-Saëns, Mozart, Bach, Delibes and Satie.

After Arsenal Contemporary Art Montreal, the Imagine Van Gogh exhibition has moved to the Quebec City Convention Centre. Easy to access, it is located in downtown Quebec City, one of the oldest cities in North America.
