In a recent survey of the MPI Ottawa Chapter’s volunteers, the following were cited as the top reasons for volunteering:
Volunteering provides a sense of community and pride for the meetings industry. It also allows members to meet new people and develop relationships – this contributes to conducting business and learning from each other. Many of these relationships become friendships and can contribute not only to the success of business , but also to career development. Contributing skills and/or experiences, helps us build our own skills and experiences.
Since 1984, the MPI Ottawa Chapter has thrived because of the strong commitment and passion of its volunteers.
