Congratulations to Meg LaPlante who recently transitioned to a new position as Coordinator, Special Events & Donor Stewardship at Shepherds of Good Hope Foundation. In her new role she will be responsible for the coordination of special events by managing the execution of in-house and 3rd party event logistics and enhance the donor’s journey with the Foundation. The International Association of Exhibitions and Events® (IAEE) has released a white paper titled Essential Considerations for Safely Reopening Exhibitions and Events, Version One, to provide general information for consideration by exhibition organizers when planning for and producing an exhibition during a pandemic. As provinces across Canada continue to announce plans to reopen economies, the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) remains active in compiling and sharing tourism advocacy updates. TIAC is also launching a broad, industry-developed recovery campaign that seeks sector-specific government support to ensure Canada has a tourism industry post-pandemic.
