Tell us a bit about yourself:
I have been living in Canada for around 20 years. I have lived in many cities including Scarborough, Cornwall, Toronto, and Ottawa. During my spare time, I read books, write, and listen to music.
How did you join the industry?
I joined the Event Management industry because I have background in Technical Writing, Online Writing, and Marketing. I wanted to combine my background and change it into something more creative. So I joined this industry.
Social Media:
What do you recommend following on social media (i.e. Twitter handle, Pinterest site, Facebook group, etc.)?
Inspiration: What is one dream you've seen fulfilled?
I have always dreamt of running my own events. This dream began when I was a child. I used to imagine playing games like hosting a tea party or running an educational event with my imaginary friends. This is why I finished my certificate in Event Management.
Professional: What is your hidden talent?
I can brainstorm very quickly; and I retain information for a long time so that I may slowly process it. This ability will eventually let me become the “idea bomb” for any company. After graduating from Algonquin College’s Event Management program, I spent two months researching the industry because I did not know where to begin. After some discussion with industry mentors and a lot of online and offline research, I ended up making a large binder that has critical information about the events industry.
Personal: What is the best thing about being the age you are now?
Past experiences and the need for further development.
Networking: What was your favorite networking event?
Business Networking Events and Matchmaking / Dating Events.
