Event Planning is a field that requires dependable teams, which are challenging to create in a fast-paced environment. In this industry, assignments are built like jigsaw puzzles. Every member must contribute in order to complete the puzzle—a Thinker cannot work without an Inquirer and an Inquirer cannot work without an Executor. Thus, effective team building efforts are required to not only improve creativity but also productivity. The finished events are obviously far grander than what one individual could have produced.
Team building activities offer critical advantages; some of these are as follows:
Improving group skills through bonding;
Enhancing creativity, which increases productivity;
Better success and learning owing to empowerment;
Effective leadership due to greater dependability;
Stronger conflict resolution skill through trust building, stress management, and cooperation;
Refined Emotional Intelligence because of shared experiences;
Efficient workflow due to boosted communication;
Deeper and thorough learning as things are shared in an open, safe, and non-critical environment.
Team building activities can be performed indoors or outdoors. Some indoor activities may include an annual dinner, trivia contests and potluck meals. Examples of some outdoor activities would be a scavenger hunt, attending a sporting event, workshops, a physical activity or even a friendly tug-of-war contest.
Great teams spend some time every day in team building efforts. This could be something as small as having a friendly chat or enjoying lunch together. However; the overall impact of these formal or informal team building engagements is positively striking and noteworthy.
