Who is your company?
Tourism Saskatoon is a membership-based, non-profit Destination Marketing Organization. We promote Saskatoon as a destination of choice for leisure, sport, and business travel. Services include convention and event attraction, media relations and advocacy.
Tourism Saskatoon is one of only a handful of internationally accredited destination marketing organizations in Canada.
Why you are a sponsor for MPI Ottawa?
We absolutely love working with MPI Ottawa and appreciate being a part of the amazing community that MPI Ottawa has created through its membership. MPI provides our industry with valuable information on current trends, important education, and the opportunity to volunteer on committees. This gives us a chance to really be a part of the conversation and make a difference. Finding ways to give back to the industry we love is important to Tourism Saskatoon and being able to do this in creative ways that are supported by MPI Ottawa is valued.
What MPI Chapter events you sponsor and why?
We currently sponsor the MPI Charity Auction and Dinner, the Prix Prestige Awards Gala and new to this year, “The Event”.
What’s your favourite part of those sponsored events?
The MPI Charity Auction Event is something we have been a part of for a very long time. Last year we used this event to introduce our Cities in Sync Program, which is a cross country partnership between Destination St. John’s, Tourism Saskatoon and Business Events Victoria. We knew this would be a perfect audience to officially introduce our new program.
The Prix Prestige Awards Gala is always wonderful to be a part of in recognizing the hard work and dedication of MPI Ottawa’s members and volunteers. To be able to contribute to an event that shows gratitude for leaders in our industry is very rewarding.
“The Event” was so much fun to be involved with and working with the creative minds of the different MPI chapters was amazing! We were able to create something memorable that aligned with Saskatoon’s brand and reach the attendees through unique activations.
We look forward to continuing our sponsorships and support with MPI Ottawa. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with our industry in a meaningful way!
