Edmonton All In Logo

As Canada’s youngest and fastest growing capital city, we’re seeing transformations happen overnight. Currently Edmonton has a population just over one million people, but we’re fast on our way to doubling that.

Our downtown is buzzing with growth and youthful energy. Each new project, like the ICE District, our brand-new entertainment hub that is anchored by the impressive Rogers Place arena, gives cause for celebration.

Our culinary scene is flourishing and receiving international acclaim. A local favorite, Duchess Bakeshop, was recently ranked amongst the top bakeries in the world. We’re also bursting with new, innovative restaurants all over town, which isn’t to mention the number of craft brew pubs and local coffee roasters that consistently delight.

While food and entertainment are some of our favorite things, we’re also excited to see major growth in new industries. Technology is our fastest growing sector, seeing a 20 per cent increase each year for the past seven years. This growth is supported by several well-renowned post-secondary institutions that are leaders in research and education. Currently, the University of Alberta is ranked third in the world for AI and machine learning, ahead of Stanford and MIT.

Edmonton Intelligent Learning

Our proven research capabilities, breadth of expertise, and exceptional graduates have drawn the attention of innovators and corporations who’ve recognized Edmonton as the ideal climate to grow their business. The Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii), an Edmonton-based research lab, pushes the bounds of academic knowledge and guides business understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Google DeepMind, a UK-based, global leader in AI, chose us to be their first non-UK research lab.

A huge contributor to our success is Edmonton’s unwavering commitment to innovation and improvement. As a hub for entrepreneurs, we’re passionate about seeking new and better ways of doing things. The city is even a participating “Smart City,” which uses innovation and collaboration to improve municipal services. We know that together we can build a city that does an even better job of serving its diverse population.

And while all this is wonderful, we know how challenging it is to take full advantage of everything a new city has to offer when you’re planning a conference or event. Which is where our dedicated Meetings and Conventions team comes in. When you plan an event in Edmonton, you won’t just get help booking hotels and venues, you’ll get an entire city and an expert team going All In for you.

As creative can-do-ers, we roll up our sleeves and work side-by-side with you to connect you to our impressive network of local experts, show you the perfect venues for your events, and help transform your vision into an unforgettable experience. Planning the perfect conference is a massive undertaking, and with a million details to keep track of, we’re here, start-to-finish, to lend you our local expertise and years of experience.

When it comes to Edmonton, we don’t go half-way, we’re here to make remarkable possible.
