Did you Know? MPI Perks – Money Saving Edition

The benefits to being an MPI member are numerous, but do you know all of them? Make the most of your membership by taking a few minutes to learn about these awesome perks.

1. The Student in Transition Program only applies to members who joined when they were students, (hint students, join now!), but it is one that isn’t very well known. The student in transition program helps recent graduates pay the cost of their memberships by gradually increasing the annual fee. Instead of going from paying $40/year to over $300/year, this program will gradually increase the cost over a few years. Always great when you can save that $$$$. To do so, email your MPI admin and they’ll sort it out for you.

2. Speaking of saving money, being an MPI member means lower registration fees for MPI events. Most events also have early bird pricing, which means that’s even more money saved.

3. Did you know that MPI members have free access to reports and white papers from MPI Global? Topics such as Strategic Meeting Management, Measuring ROI, Corporate Social Responsibility, Future of Meetings Industry and much more! Who doesn’t love free education?

4. Do you want your employer to pay for your membership, but don’t know how to convince your boss of the benefits? MPI Ottawa has facilitated new membership and membership renewals for members by crafting a template permission letter to both planners and suppliers outlining the benefits of membership in the Ottawa chapter. 5. Through the MPI Foundation there are many different types of scholarships offered from membership, to professional development, to conferences and more! The applications are quick and easy and the foundation is always looking for applicants. You can find more info here.
