What are you currently working on?

We have launched the MPI Ottawa Prospectus for the entire year of 2022. As there is lots of hope for IN PERSON events, I have been very successful in securing partnerships from our great DMO partners for the Charity Auction & Dinner, the annual Golf tournament and the Prix Prestige Gala. Although agreements are in place, there is lots of communication that now needs to happen between partners and the event committees. This will be my focus over the next few months.

What are your top three goals for this year?

My most important goal is to create unique and strong partnerships with our members that will produce ROI for both parties. Followed by connecting the partner with each event committee to ensure a viable partnership continues, often new ideas help maximize partnership opportunities.

Finally, there is pressure to build up MPI Ottawa reserve funds, so selling as many partnerships as possible will put us in a better place financially.

What are the benefits of volunteering with your Role?

My Role in partnership has taught me that trying something new will always make you stronger, and it builds confidence not only for me personally but also for the partners. This pandemic has presented multiple opportunities where thinking outside of the box has benefitted our chapter and members by moving to virtual events such as The Breakout Room, June BASH and the Prix Prestige Gala.

This role is a lot fun as it creates strong relationships and trust with members as well as the committees that work so hard on all events. Although, I run this portfolio solo, I rely on my team daily to ensure I understand the fundamentals of each event in order to create a partnership opportunity.
