Was holding an in-person WEC a mistake? – Ashley Craven

Learn how Ashley’s point of view quickly changed about MPI holding an in-person portion of the 2020 WEC in Grapevine, Texas.  Ashley attended the conference virtually and was thinking MPI had made a reckless decision by holding an in-person portion of the conference however it became clear to her that they had done this well and safely, she was even wishing she were there! Join Ashley’s table to hear the details.

How to influence your brain to learn – Jennifer McGregor

Is online engagement really necessary for virtual events? – Karen Norris
Registration numbers have gone down for (live) virtual events, but interest in on-demand videos and audio only sessions (podcasts/Clubhouse etc.) has increased. What does this mean? Have we overestimated the amount of interest in online engagement? Have we just not found the right medium/platform to do it correctly? Can we even create meaningful engagement with thousands of people online? How can we overcome this? Should we try to overcome this or just leave engagement to in-person events? Bring your arguments, bring your recommended platforms you have had success with, bring your thinking caps to help redesign the future of virtual/hybrid events.
