Pat Guay, Account Executive at Québec City Business Destination

Pat is an Account Executive at Québec City Business Destination, responsible for the Canadian Association market. Pat has accumulated over 25 years of experience in the tourism industry in various capacities. Before joining Qc. City Business Destination, Pat has worked in the hotel industry, a DMO (Québec City Tourism - U.S. corporate market) as well as 17 years in the resort industry. These varied experiences have provided Pat with a very varied perspective on our industry.

Originally, from Québec City, Pat has lived in Ottawa, Kitchener, Sudbury, and Montreal. He has also been lucky enough to travel over much of North America. Being exposed to innumerable characters that formed his!

David Roberts, Regional Vice President, Canada's Western Mountain

David Roberts returned to his current role of Regional Vice President of Canada's Western Mountain Region and General Manager of The Fairmont Banff Spring in March 2013. In this capacity he oversees the operations of Fairmont’s legendary mountain hotels: Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, and Fairmont Chateau Whistler.

In 1989, Roberts was named the opening General Manager of The Fairmont Chateau Whistler. During his 12 years in Whistler, not only did he help cement Whistler’s international stature through his long service on the Board of Directors for Tourism Whistler, but also led the hotel through an impressive expansion. Roberts then relocated to Hawaii to become Regional Vice President and General Manager of the Fairmont Orchid, coinciding with Fairmont’s acquisition of this prestigious hotel on the Kohala coast. Roberts was then promoted to the role of Regional Vice President of Canada's Western Mountain Region and General Manager of The Fairmont Banff Springs, a position that he held from April 2005 to June 2008.

In 2008, Roberts moved abroad in the capacity of Executive Vice President, Operations for Fairmont Raffles Hotels International. In this role, his efforts were critical to the continuing growth and development of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts within Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa where he has spearheaded the growth of the company. Under his leadership, Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Fairmont Zimbali Resort, Fairmont Yangcheng Lake, Fairmont Peace Hotel, Makkah Clock Royal Tower, Fairmont Raffles Makati, Fairmont Jaipur and Fairmont Palm Island were added to the portfolio.

Ashley Craven, CMP

Ashley is the Manager of Conference and Events, Corporate Partnerships at the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologist (CAMRT) as well as a part time professor teaching Computer Applications for Event Management in the Event Management Program at Algonquin College. Prior to joining CAMRT in early 2019 Ashley worked at a PCO, an academic association that held the largest academic conference in Canada, with over 10,000 attendees in 2017, as a Sales and Catering coordinator for Hilton and before going back to school in 2014 to pursue a career in the meetings and events industry she worked for over 10 years in hospitality as a restaurant and bar manager, server, bartender, line cook, you name it. Ashley is very involved in the local Ottawa chapter of MPI currently sitting on their board as the Vice President of Finance and will be taking on the office of the president as president elect starting this July. Finally, Ashley has her CMP designation and also holds a Diploma in Photography from Algonquin College.

Madeleine Bart, VP Creative & Marketing

Starting in the event marketing industry in 2011, Madeleine has a wide range of experience on both sides of the aisle. Joining Encore (previously Freeman AV Canada) in 2016, she brings a strong understanding of the industry and offers Encore’s sales, marketing and operations teams a fresh perspective. Madeleine’s collaborative attitude is key to finding creative solutions to challenges.

Chef Dodd honed his skills in Britain’s finest inns and country houses and some of Canada’s best dining rooms, but when he arrived at Trius he knew he’s found the place where he was meant to be.

Meet Cory D'Amico

Cory D'Amico

Cory is WSET II Certified and joined our Peller team in March 2018. His appreciation for wine stems from harvesting grapes for a variety of wineries in Niagara – ask anyone, this isn’t easy work! Overtime he became a Grower Relations Representative and moved through multiple positions before becoming a Supervisor at Peller Estates. Cory is known for his contagious laugh and passionate demeanor for all things wine. He’s magnetic personality is the perfect fit for a virtual experience; making sure everyone feels connected even while physically distancing.
