Drawing from his personal experience overcoming adversity, Joze will provide actionable strategies for building resilience, embracing discomfort, and navigating uncertainty—all infused with his signature humor and engaging storytelling. Speaker
Joze Piranian is a lifelong stutterer turned Forbes and TED-featured global speaker on resilience and inclusion. Born and raised in Lebanon, Joze avoided speaking for over 25 years out of fear of being judged for being different. Then, everything changed.He won the award of Inspirational Speaker of the Year by Speaker Slam (2017), delivered five TEDx talks, and performed stand-up comedy on three continents in four languages.Joze has since delivered hundreds of speaking engagements and stand-up comedy on overcoming adversity as well as about disability & neurodiversity at companies like the FBI, the Department of Justice, Google, Meta, Netflix,IBM, Merck and BCG. With millions of views online, Joze has been featured on TEDx, ABC, Forbes, Goalcast, Some Good News, NowThis, and the CBC. His story was recently brought to the big screen with Words Left Unspoken, a documentary about his journey. The film premiered at a festival in Toronto in the fall of 2024, receiving a standing ovation. Its U.S. premiere will take place at a film festival in New York City in 2025. The movie explores profound themes such as mental health, disability, cross-cultural differences, and family dynamics.
Joze graduated from McGill University with a bachelor’s in Organizational Psychology, from Queen’s University with a Master of International Business, and from Cornell University with a certificate in employee engagement and inclusion.
He is now writing a book about his story for a major international publisher, set to be released in January 2026.
