Please be aware that on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 7:00am – 5:00pm CDT we will be taking the MPI website and Single Sign-On (SSO) offline to perform an upgrade to our Association Management System, Aptify. Chapter websites will also be offline during this time. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may create but is necessary to keep our systems up-to-date and protected from any potential vulnerabilities.
We regret to inform you that effective immediately, the monthly cost for QuickBooks Online will increase to approximately $60 per month. After extensive discussions with QuickBooks, we have discovered that our previous fees were highly discounted as an initial offer. The new rates going forward are discounted at the highest percentage offered in the non-profit segment.
We apologize for the late notification, but please know that the MPI Finance team has been diligently working to negotiate these fees down as much as possible and took longer than expected. Our commitment to minimizing these costs remains steadfast, and we are currently in talks with QuickBooks to explore other opportunities for cost reduction.
Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated. Your Chapter Operations Team member will be reaching out to you with the updated cost for the remainder of this year and for FY2025.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on our CLS video about helping the MPI Foundation at the Chapter level. We are constantly amazed when we hear about Chapter initiatives and their resulting donations. Remember, it is never too late to add a simple activation to an existing chapter event and it is never too late to share your good news with us.
I would like to share something with you too, please see the message below from one of our MPI Foundation Pledge chapters on how and why they step up every year and ‘just do something’ for the MPI Foundation.
“As President of the MPI Atlantic Canada Chapter, I can proudly say that supporting the MPI Foundation is woven into the fabric of our chapter’s mission. Every year, we dedicate a portion of our ticket sales directly to the Foundation, ensuring that our members contribute to the larger MPI community in a meaningful way. Our flagship event, Drag Queen Bingo, held annually during GMID, not only raises funds but also brings our members together for a fun and engaging cause.
What truly sets us apart, though, is our constant effort to keep the MPI Foundation top of mind within our chapter. Whether through regular updates to our membership or during executive meetings, we remind everyone of the direct impact the Foundation has on our community. The President and council remain committed to amplifying the Foundation’s work and ensuring it remains central to our annual programming.
We’re a small chapter doing big things, and it’s our belief that no matter the size of the chapter, we can all make a significant difference. This commitment was recognized when MPI Atlantic Canada was named the 2024 Chapter Champion for the MPI Foundation, a testament to our dedication. I challenge other chapters to embrace this level of commitment — together, we can continue to elevate the work of the MPI Foundation.”
Wela’lin (Thanks).
