WEC News Updates, Friday, Nov. 6

MPI Town Hall

Whether you are a new or longtime member, you are invited to the MPI and MPI Foundation business update to have an open and candid discussion about the current state and future of MPI, the Foundation and our industry.

During this interactive session, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. today, attendees will have the opportunity to converse directly with Paul Van Deventer, MPI president and CEO; Steve O’Malley, chair of the MPI International Board of Directors; and Chandra Allison, chair of the MPI Foundation Global Board of Trustees. In addition, you will have the opportunity to interact with members of MPI staff to discuss such topics as chapter support initiatives, advertising sales, volunteer opportunities, offerings of the Academy, etc.

Bring your questions and don’t miss out on what promises to be a lively discussion! Sponsored by Caesars Entertainment.

Scholarships for Success

Nearly 140 meeting professionals are participating in WEC thanks to scholarships from the MPI Foundation. More than 60 scholarship recipients are attending WEC in-person, while more than 70 scholarship recipients are participating through the WEC Digital Experience.

These and other MPI Foundation scholarships are more important this year than ever before, and are possible thanks to donations (big and small) from meeting and event professionals all around the world, including the IMEX Group’s recent $250,000 gift. Visit mpifoundation.org to learn more about, donate to and/or apply for a scholarship from the MPI Foundation.
