Below are summaries of both our current course offerings.
The Meetings 101 program is a program designed specifically to teach the fundamentals of meeting planning as prescribed by the strategic domains of the meeting and events industry’s certifying body, the Events Industry Council. Meetings and events serve as a crucial component of most successful businesses and provide a space for stakeholders, business partners and other constituents to connect, share information and elevate the way that they work together.
Meeting professionals must understand the value of the events they deliver to ensure that they successfully achieve business goals and objectives, justify costs and other expenditures, design authenticate and deliberate experiences and improve their events over time. Understanding the role that meetings play for their overall organizations is an integral industry skillset that fuels better, more strategic meetings and events and motivates businesses to look at their meeting managers as strategic and essential players on senior leadership teams. In this course, students will learn the process for measuring the business value of meetings from identifying stakeholders and implementing change management systems (if necessary) and creating goals and objectives to setting measurements and reporting out results. Students will practice delivering on the business value of meetings through case studies and best practices from organizations around the globe.
The MPI Academy has curated its more than 350 recorded events into robust packages in critical topic areas to help organizations up-skill their students and members. Purchase access to a package of 10 or more recorded classes in the topical area of virtual & hybrid events as a meaningful resource addition to your current meeting and events education offerings.
