Reflect - 2024 End-of-Year Celebration and 2025 Board Installation

The end-of-year celebration was a special evening, bringing together MPI Texas Hill Country Chapter Members to reflect on the past year and a look to the exciting opportunities ahead.

After a warm welcome from our outgoing President, Cherry Kay, we recognized our sponsors for the event. A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors who have supported our success.

Our awards ceremony recognized outstanding contributions by exceptional individuals and teams who went above and beyond. Planner of the Year: Nour has demonstrated leadership and creativity in executing engaging events. Her reliability and attention to detail is unmatched, and we at MPI Texas Hill Country recognize and appreciate her exceptional talent. Supplier of the Year: Travis’s participation and support of the chapter has been truly exceptional, always exceeding expectations.

Volunteer of the Year: Michael has gone above and beyond, selflessly offering MPI Texas Hill Country his talent and dedication in supporting our mission.  Rising Star of the Year: Heather has offered out chapter her time, talent, and attention, quickly establishing herself as someone to pay attention to.  Committee of the Year: Texas Education Conference (TEC24) -This committee’s collaboration and hard work made a lasting impact on the organization’s success in organizing our first every collaborative TEC Conference in coordination with the MPI Houston Chapter.  It was a phenomenal event and is not to be missed.

Venue of the Year: Those in attendance of TEC24 certainly didn’t miss Hilton College Station and Conference Center’s wonderful hospitality and attentive service on display.  President's Award: Meaghan has served in multiple roles in our MPI Texas Hill Country Chapter including 2020-2021 Chapter President, as well as our 2024 Southwest Regional Rep.  Her commitment and contributions have been instrumental to the growth and success of MPI THCC, and we wouldn’t be where we are without her.

After celebrating the exceptional individuals and teams who went above and beyond, our outgoing president, Cherry Kay, shared words echoing gratitude and pride for the dedication and passion that fueled the organization’s success. She highlighted the remarkable achievements of the year, underscoring the power of collaboration, commitment, and hard work of her board members, volunteers, and committees. Cherry closed with a warm sentiment - “it has been my privilege to serve as your president, and I am excited to continue the journey with all of you in the year ahead.

To close the evening, Donna Harbers, CMP took centerstage and the leadership helm as our 2025 Chapter President.  Donna was met with enthusiasm as she recognized with gratitude the selfless contribution of Cherry Kay throughout her extended term in the position. We are incredibly grateful to Cherry Kay for an amazing 18 months of leadership. 

Next, Donna recognized the contributions of Jennifer Rasco Smith who provides our chapter with exceptional administrative support. In Donna’s own words, “I don’t know if I’ve met anybody that cares as much and as deeply about people in general in this chapter specifically.” Thank you, Jennifer.

Donna then turned her focus to the future, acknowledging the dedication of the incoming board and unveiling her 2025 theme - Together We Thrive. She emphasized the importance of collaboration, true partnership, and the immense value of relationships, asking us to “Remember that we are friends” and that we need each other to truly thrive.
