A month-long celebration of inspiring women wouldn’t be complete without the recognition of LaChelle Evans, a volunteer whose professional dedication to the meetings and events industry has been matched only by her personal commitment to make a difference in and touch the lives of others.
LaChelle has worked in the hospitality industry -- and been involved with MPI in various capacities -- for over 30 years. During that time, her ability to create special moments for and deliver meaningful experiences to colleagues and clients has led to the coining of the term “Chelled it,” her team’s unique spin on the “nailed it” expression. Now a national sales manager of multiple association markets at Visit Frisco, where she has worked for over 14 years, LaChelle continues to serve as a role model for her team and peers while helping the industry recover from the pandemic and prioritizing the need for diversity and inclusion through education and committee service.
When she’s not working or volunteering, LaChelle lives her best life among friends and family -- including her daughter, Tiffany, a daily source of pride -- and exotic destinations such as Barcelona, Trinidad & Tobago and Fiji (a trip she plans to make in 2022).
LaChelle’s shelf houses an extensive photo collection of celebrities she has met throughout the years, including former President Barack Obama and newscaster Robin Roberts.
