A longtime hospitality professional, Joseph (Joe) Bedsole has spent 18 years of his career in hotel sales, followed by 13 years -- and counting -- at the Arlington Convention and Visitors Bureau. He first joined MPI in 1990 and has since served on two boards of directors of Texas-based chapters. With strong leadership skills acting as the driving force behind his volunteer work, Joe has proved to be an ideal fit for the Southwest Showcase Steering Committee and the MPI THCC Scholarship Committee. But despite everything that Joe has accomplished so far, it seems like he is just getting started.
Joe’s desire for active involvement in his community does not end with MPI. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering as a public speaker at industry-organized events -- including the upcoming TEC20 Virtual on October 1 -- or lending his instructional talents to an applied meetings program at Austin Community College. His personal hobbies include travel, cigars, hiking, concerts, wine and cooking, while the rest of his attention is dedicated to his corgi/German shepherd dog, Maddie.
