Throughout her professional journey, Cherry Kay -- our second volunteer of the month -- has dedicated many years to serving MPI THCC while drawing on her invaluable experience and unique skill set in the association market. Among her accomplishments are her contributions as a meeting planner to TXhima; her leadership as a director of sales for the City of Amarillo; her expertise as the previous executive director at the Texas Association of Assessing Officers (TAAO) and her advancement to her current role -- also as a director of sales -- at Visit Bastrop.
Cherry Kay's involvement with MPI THCC spans over 10 years, and her level of commitment to the chapter speaks for itself. She has previously held the posts of a president, a vice president of education and a program chair, to name a few; more recently, Cherry Kay has served on several committees and participated in multiple advisory boards.
When she’s not working or volunteering, Cherry Kay keeps herself on her toes in other ways, whether on land or in the water. She has completed triathlons and marathons alike and continues to stay active -- as current circumstances allow -- by swimming, spinning and spending time with her grandson, Lucas.
