Over six months of the 2020-2021 MPI THCC fiscal year have passed, and I couldn’t be more proud of our chapter, its leaders and its members -- YOU!
I am especially appreciative of the unity shown within our industry and the partnerships established with both planners and suppliers as we continue to navigate this environment with a long-lasting hope of rebuilding. And though the industry itself will never be the same, I hope we’ll bring the latest virtual event expertise, second-screen technologies and new audiences into a changed world while reuniting, recovering and returning to in-person gatherings in a “reimagined” way.
Last month, the 2020-2021 Board of Directors met for our mid-year retreat, coming together as a group for the first time since March of 2020, to strategically plan and invest time into you -- our members -- and MPI THCC’s future. We are excited to share with you some new initiatives, programming and efforts developed to further your professional growth during and beyond these trying times.
With this sentiment in mind, we invite you to join us for any or all of the upcoming events:
February 22 | Remaining Positive in Times of Crisis
February 25 | Town Hall Meeting
March 17 | St. Paddy’s Dueling DJ Party
April 8 | Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID)
May 11 | Southwest Showcase
We hope you will take advantage of MPI THCC’s unique offerings, networking events, educational experiences -- and have plenty of fun along the way -- as we close out the year in celebration of each of you, the unity of all chapter members and the friendships we have built. Remember, we are all in this together!
Finally, I am happy to announce that the 2021-2022 Board of Directors slate has been released for your review. As a chapter, we are excited to welcome new and experienced leaders to the Board and will guide them in their transition into office (beginning on July 1) next month.
I hope to see all of you again soon!
Meaghan Rhame, CMP
2020-2021 MPI THCC President
