Thank you for choosing the MPI Texas Hill Country Chapter as your source for professional development. My biggest goal this year is to make sure that you see the value in your MPI THCC membership and that you continue to say yes when it's time to renew . Throughout the year, I'll use this column to talk about decisions that the MPI THCC Board of Directors is making to ensure your membership dollar is well spent.
First, though, let's talk about timelines and the documents that MPI requires that all chapters develop.
While the Board's term runs concurrent with the calendar year, our work started in October 2024 at the Incoming Board of Directors Retreat. At that retreat, we met to develop the first drafts of MPI THCC's 2025 business plan, budget, and 24 month calendar. The final drafts of those documents are due to MPI by December 1 to make sure that we are ready to hit the ground running on January 1.
Let's focus on the business plan today - the document that lays out all of our plans and goals for the year. Some - like the redesign of this newsletter - we've already accomplished, while some - like making sure that we are ready to host WEC in San Antonio in 2026 - will take a little longer. You are welcome to read the business plan (let's link to it. I want members to be able to see the entire thing if they're interested.) if you want to see the details of how we're investing your membership dollar in 2025. If you have questions, I invite conversation.
No doubt you'll notice that your Board has big goals and plans this year, and we're going to need active committees to make that happen. Once you've reviewed the business plan - or the parts that interest you most anyway - please consider signing up for a committee to help our goals become reality. Making the decision to be actively involved with MPI THCC all those years ago has been one of the best decisions of my career -- because Together We Thrive.
Thank you,
Donna Harbers, CMP
2025 MPI THCC President
