Valerie Hansen CDHS Valerie Hansen is a dedicated professional who has devoted nearly two decades to serving within the Division of Youth Services. Throughout her tenure, she has assumed a multitude of roles, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people. From her early days as a facility staff member to her later position as a Client Manager/Parole Officer, Valerie has consistently shown a deep understanding of the complexities of youth rehabilitation and reintegration. Currently, Valerie serves as a Motivational Interviewing Instructor and Field Safety/NRCT (Natural Response Control Tactics) instructor, where she imparts valuable skills and techniques to empower both colleagues and clients alike. Her expertise extends beyond the confines of the classroom as she actively engages in initiatives such as the Human Trafficking Leadership Academy, highlighting her dedication to combating exploitation and supporting survivors of trafficking. Valerie's unwavering commitment to youth welfare and her ongoing involvement in the Human Trafficking movement exemplify her passion for social justice and advocacy. Her journey is a testament to the transformative power of dedication, empathy, and continuous learning in fostering positive change within communities.
