EVENT DESCRIPTION
It’s time for a cultural shift in our industry. The signs have been there and the buzz is building, but we as the day to day players have to make a conscious decision to change our own practices and mindset.
What do we want to leave as our legacy, a bunch of successful meeting? Or do we want to leave behind participants who have been changed by our meetings? Truly, when you get right down to it, it's not about the meeting, it's about the people at the meeting.
So why do we focus so hard on the details of building a successful meeting when what we really all want at the end of the day is successful people? People who they want to be actively engaged and involved in the content.
For planners, you walk away with at least concrete techniques to help you focus more on your participant. For suppliers, you'll have an arsenal of suggestions that make you look like the rock star partner to planners that you want to be.
And, in keeping with the title, you will all be actively engaged as participants. No attendees allowed!
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
>Participants will leave equipped to educate others about the shift in our industry >Participants will understand the basic brain science of participation >Participants will experience live participation experiments
>Participants will leave with
*at least 3 actionable ideas out of 20+ presented to apply to their meeting, event or client
*A plan of action for implementing the three ideas for their next meeting

Way back in the 90’s, Meredith did her masters degree focusing on group and play dynamics. In 2002, she launched PlayWorks Group, a niche event planning firm that designs and provides live corporate team building events. In the Spring of 2016, PlayWorks Group launched its first line of digital products, offering DIY options to corporations.
