Join us at the December education program!  Our education will be around designing and implementing sustainable events, which will include a back-of-the-house tour of Providence Park.  We will end the day with a wreath-making, networking reception, and a celebration of MPI Oregon's 40th Anniversary!

Wreath Making:
Price: $25 per wreath

Skip the extra trip to the store and bring home a decorated wreath from MPI Oregon's December Education event! We will have a table set up with decorations if you want something a bit more festive, but all wreaths will be fresh and come with a small decoration already on there to get you in the holiday spirit.

In heartfelt appreciation, we extend our thanks to RPS Events for graciously providing wreaths and decorations, setting the stage for creativity at our event. Your generosity allows the attendees to infuse their personal touch, turning each wreath into a unique masterpiece. Your support of MPI Oregon is truly the foundation of our community driven celebration.

Speaker: Carolyn Stein

Carolyn Stein has worked in the environmental sector for over 15 years. Her work with non-profits and private businesses led her to create Rethink Business, a technical assistance and certification program for businesses located in Lane County, Oregon. Carolyn has consulted with over 200 businesses on ways to:

  • Reduce waste
  • Save money
  • Improve environmental performance

Carolyn is a sustainability consultant with MeetGreen, a sustainable event management agency. She works with corporate clients and sporting events. In 2022 she led the social and environmental sustainability efforts for WCH Oregon22, the World’s largest track and field event, achieving Evergreen Certification, the highest level possible from the Council for Responsible Sport.

Carolyn has worked to pass environmental legislation in Oregon and was appointed by former Governor Kate Brown to the Oregon Recycling Advisory Committee. She has worked locally and internationally with students and governments to create waste prevention and recycling programs.

Carolyn serves on several non-profit boards and is happiest when she is hiking a muddy path in the woods, riding public transportation, and rescuing food to donate to the local food bank.
