MPI-CC Duty of Care

The health and safety of our attendees, speakers, and staff has always been, and always will be, our top priority. In an effort to keep everyone safe we have updated our already thorough cleaning guidelines and implemented additional processes and procedures to ensure your health, safety and comfort. The 2021 Annual Meeting, hosted at the The Beaufort Hotel, will be held at modified capacity to allow for limited touch and proper social distancing, while hotel staff and The Management Office expand efforts to maintain a clean and safe environment. These protocols will allow us to provide exceptional service in a safe environment. We are confident in our team’s ability to welcome you safely back to our in-person events, with the personalized service you’ve always known and trusted.

The following guidelines are not meant be to restrictive, but rather are meant to keep the safety and well-being of each attendee and staff as our top priority. We want everyone to feel comfortable attending the onsite meeting, knowing that cleanliness and sanitation protocols will be taken seriously. We want to ensure that we are able to continue moving forward with onsite events, supporting our industry as we recover; we can't wait to meet again!

In-Person Attendee Agreement

During online registration, every in-person registrant will be required to review and agree to the "MPI-CC Covid Event Agreement", which outlines the liability of MPI-CC, The Management Office and hotel staff, as well as guidelines for the event that all attendees will be expected to follow. Click here to view the agreement.

On-site Safety Guidelines

Facemasks

All attendees will be required to wear a facemask while not actively eating or drinking.

Wristbands

All attendees will choose to wear a wristband that is red, yellow or green.

Each wristband indicates the following:

Green: I am happy to greet you with a fist bump!

Yellow: I am okay with you being within 6 feet of me but no physical contact, please.

Red: Please do not come within 6 feet of me, we can chat while socially distanced!

Hotel Guestrooms

All guestrooms will be deep cleaned, including electrostatic spraying, after each guest departure. Housekeeping staff will not enter your room while you are a guest, any requests for items or service will go through the front desk. Guestrooms will not include a coffee maker. You can take your room key to the restaurant to receive complimentary coffee. Hand sanitizer stations are located on each floor by the elevators.

Meeting Space / F&B

Masks will be worn by all hotel staff. The meeting space will be deep cleaned, including electrostatic spraying, before and after each meeting, each day. To limit contact of hotel staff in the meeting space, linens will not be changed between functions. Please follow guidelines around 1-way in/out of meeting rooms and aisles. Touchless hand-sanitizing stations will be located outside of each meeting room. All F&B will be individually wrapped or served by hotel staff from a shielded buffet. MPI-CC events will be set up to account for social distancing and to limit contact between attendees and staff. When possible, covered, outdoor space will be utilized.

Networking

We are so excited to see you face-to-face! Please keep the following things in mind:

  • Before greeting another attendee, make sure to notice the color of their wristband and proceed accordingly.
  • No handshakes or hugs. We know, it's a bummer, but it won't be like this forever. For now, please stick to fist bumps only when greeting each other.
  • No exchanging of business cards or other hard-copy materials. The meeting app will include contact information for all attendees, both in-person and virtual. You can even take notes in the app about your interaction with an attendee to reference later!

Daily Health Screenings

All attendees are asked to self-evaluate their health before attending any MPI-CC event. Attendees agree to not attend if they are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, including but not limited to, loss of taste and/or smell, coughing, shortness of breath or a temperature greater than 100.3 degrees F.

All attendees will be required to have their temperature taken during the MPI-CC meeting with a no-contact thermometer. In the event an attendee records a temperature of more than 100.3 degrees F, they will be asked to leave immediately and quarantine.
