Mark Andrew—one of MPI’s 50th anniversary “Legacy Contributors”—shares, in his own words, some of his MPI origin and history.
My time with MPI was very exciting as so much was happening in my world and thus my involvement with MPI was perfect timing. We, Vancouver/Whistler, had just won the 2010 Olympic bid in addition to the expansion of our already award-winning convention center. Additionally, the meetings industry has always changed at an amazing pace and the time between 2000 and 2010 was no different.
While events were exciting and the travel lots of fun, what really made, and does make, MPI so special is the people involved in our industry. There continues to be so many memorable moments made at MPI related events. Connections that are the foundation to relationships to fuel success. Even today I enjoy connecting with people I initially met at events held in our incredible meetings and events locations around the world.
MPI has been synonymous for good times, great connections, and positive business results. Again, thank you Michael for continuing to spread the good news.
It just keeps getting better…we define the “it” and make it so.
