The MPI Italy Chapter celebrated the successful seventh edition of The Movie Charity Auction held in Venice during the 77th Venice Film Festival with a hybrid event on September 11 that raised funds for the MPI Foundation.
The event was organised by Mauro Bernardini, managing director of All Star Agency and past president of MPI Italy, together with a talented team of six students of the BeAcademy’s Master in Tourism, Hospitality & Event Management program and in partnership with the Italian National Tourism Board, ENIT.
The amount raised for the Foundation after 15 days of the online auction is US$5,000—the best result ever after seven editions of the event.
The MPI Foundation: Advancing Our Industry
“Our chapter is proud of this accomplishment. We wanted to raise funds to offer concrete support to the meeting professionals after the pandemic,” says Maddalena Milone, MPI Italy president. “Our acknowledgments go to the 40 sponsors among the top hotel groups in Italy who contributed to make the auction an incredible opportunity for all those who joined the initiative by bidding for amazing hotel stays. Together we definitely achieve more.”
Bernardini says he’s glad to have had the chance to contribute to the MPI Foundation.
“We strongly believe in the role of the Foundation and we are all aware of the importance of collaborating with the global community,” he says.
