EMEC Learning Journey #1: Horsense, An Unconventional Way to Better Leadership Skills

By Avery Carter | Jan 7, 2020

We're creating a big impact in the meeting and event industry with the return of MPI's popular Learning Journeys One such learning journey attendees can experience at EMEC20 is horse-assisted leadership development. Whether you are an emerging or established meeting professional, many of us would agree that having strong leadership skills is the panacea to tackling varied challenges we face everyday. So, how can you become a trusted and conscientious leader that nourishes your personal growth while encouraging those you lead?

At EMEC20 we tackle the challenge of developing conscious leadership unconventionally by immersing you and your peers in a non-conventional journey with Horsense training experience.

At EMEC20 we tackle the challenge of developing conscious leadership unconventionally by immersing you and your peers in a non-conventional journey with Horsense training experience. Your experience in leadership development experience will go beyond just hearing a lecture on best practices, but feeling what leadership truly is. As an attendee, Carmen Valenzuela and her team will guide you through leadership development at a nearby ranch with Andalusian horses.

Participants will draw on the time-honored methods of the past to help create leadership skills relevant for leaders today and tomorrow. In past centuries all leaders were trained with the help of horses. Working with horses fosters courage, strength, creativity, and willingness to take risks, but at the same time also fosters a sense of responsibility, reliability, patience and determination.

Horse Assisted Seminars will teach you about learning to be 100% present, responsibility, self-confidence, awareness, and all that is necessary to develop your leadership skills. But the horse, with its historical and mystical background, is also a dream. It opens horizons, changes belief systems, empowers people to step out of the box and will PUSH YOUR BOUNDARIES.
