In addition to the business landscape questions asked each quarter in MPI’s Meetings Outlook survey, this time around, we sought to identify how meeting professionals feel about the way in which their country/region has managed the coronavirus pandemic.
An incredible 79% of U.S. respondents are dissatisfied with how the country has dealt with the coronavirus and its impacts on health and the economy. Meanwhile, 15% report some degree of satisfaction with the handling.
In comparing the opinions of U.S., Canadian and European respondents, there are some notable differences.
Canadian responses reveal a stark contrast to that, with the vast majority (88%) at least somewhat satisfied with their country’s response to the pandemic.
In Europe, where national response has varied from country to country, respondents came in somewhere between the overwhelmingly pleased Canadians and their incredibly displeased southern neighbors. 62% of European respondents express dissatisfaction while 32% are satisfied.
