Zaman Ishaad, CED,CMP, DES has shown incredible influence and transferability of impact in the industry despite his short time as a young professional. Locally, he helped found the Student Engagement Task Force to create partnerships and mentoring opportunities as well as a database that helps industry newcomers find volunteer opportunities and jobs. As a chapter leader with MPI Toronto Chapter, Zaman assisted in restructuring the chapter’s sponsorships model during the pandemic to spark new relationships and revenue streams.

Zaman is an advocate in the industry as a whole. At the global level, Zaman has served on the MPI Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force, MPI’s Canadian Advisory Council, and the industry group Meeting Professionals Against Human Trafficking (MPAHT). Through research and consultation with other professionals, he has been able to provide tips and tools for meeting professionals to identify the signs of human trafficking and make a real difference.  He continues to advocate for human rights, self improvement, and industry education with his regular contributions to industry publications.
