Between the months of July - December 2021, MPI Kansas City helped to develop and implement two new programs that solidified partnerships across state lines and industry groups.

In collaboration with MPI Heartland Chapter, MPI Oklahoma Chapter, MPI St. Louis Chapter and MPI Indiana Chapter, MPI Kansas City helped build an affiliate member program. This campaign granted access to regional education, expanded networks, and sparked new business leads for members. Their second major effort targeted students in hospitality and events degree programs to provide essential tools and resources as well as support from tenured industry members. The chapter reached out to 4 regional universities: the University of Missouri, University of Central Missouri, Kansas State University and the University of Kansas. As a result of their efforts, they have seen a gain in 22 new student members and 10 mentorship connections by end-of-year 2021.
