Conference Scholarship – World Education Congress, Toronto 2019

Thanks to the MPI Foundation for making it possible for me to attend the 2019 World Education Congress in Toronto. This was hands down the best conference I’ve ever attended. From the keynotes, to the session speakers, the networking, and the city, it was all unforgettable. I’m taking back new ideas, stronger connections and incredible memories with me as I dive deeper into the events industry.

Attending WEC19 was on my industry bucket list, but my company was unable to pay for my trip. I attended an MPI Northern California Chapter meeting and the scholarship was mentioned, and I thought, “Why not?” The process was simple, and I was thrilled when I received the news.

I met so many incredible people, attendees, and speakers at WEC. Being able to speak to people with similar problems, to strengthen relationships with friends from my home chapter and to hear different points of view from others around the world was inspiring. I have a new industry goal now, to present at WEC in the future.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Because of your support, I was able to check an item off my bucket list. My mind was opened in ways I wasn’t even aware of. Learning doesn’t even explain how I felt after leaving some of the sessions. They were life changing. My Dear World message was “Practice Gratitude” and I will continue to share that message with everyone who will listen. Again, thank you so much for this incredible opportunity!
