MPI offers a number of scholarship opportunities to assist with the professional development of its members. The MPI Foundation is a non-profit organization that fuels the advancement of MPI members by providing them with professional development and career opportunities through grants and scholarships.

The intent of the Heidi Longton Achievement Award is to reimburse a member in good standing of the MPI Upstate NY Chapter (formerly the MPI NENY Chapter) who is pursuing professional development in the industry. Thinking about getting your CMP, CMM, DES, or CMP Fellows Programme? Consider applying for the Heidi Longton Achievement Award. The scholarship honors Heidi Longton’s legacy and achievement in pursuing CMP, CMM, DES and CMP Fellow designations.
What Does the Award Provide?
The member may use this reimbursement to cover personal out-of-pocket expenses of the application and/or exam so that the burden of individual contributions may be lightened, though not necessarily eliminated. Employer paid application fee and/or expenses are not eligible for member reimbursement. Maximum award: $500.
What is Expected of the Applicant?
The goal of the award is to have members pursue professional development which will benefit both themselves and the MPI Upstate NY Chapter. Continued involvement and leadership in the MPI Upstate NY Chapter is expected of award winners. It will be the obligation and responsibility of the applicant to submit to the Chapter Award Committee an application and any additional information requested. Funds will not be available in advance but will be reimbursed upon successful completion of the chosen program.
Who’s Eligible?
Members in good standing of the MPI Upstate NY Chapter and have been involved in the Chapter for a six-month period are eligible to apply for this reimbursement. Applicants must have successfully completed the application, passed any necessary exams, completed any projects and been awarded the designation prior to applying for this scholarship.
