The Future of Meetings

Registration Now Open!

The way people interact has changed, a lot! This includes their interactions at meetings and events as well as in the virtual world. Let’s take this opportunity to consider global research findings presented by Mark Cooper, CEO of IACC looking at what our meeting surroundings are doing for us and what we might be missing; assessing latest food and beverage trends with a panel of experienced chefs, along with a discussion on challenges planners are having in relation to allergens and dietary requirements. We will look at the meeting rooms as well as any networking and social settings to understand how to think differently and engage on a new level.

What's Hot? What's Not! Social Media Event Engagement Strategies that Work in 2018

What worked like a charm in 2016 won't necessarily work in 2018. Setting up your social media accounts was probably a breeze. But outside of the random post here and there, your accounts just sit there collecting digital dust. If you are fresh out of new content ideas, don't know what to post during the event planning process or question why someone would even care about what you share in between events, then you can't afford to miss this session. You'll find out why creating great content doesn't have to be difficult or time consuming. Cher Jones will teach you the top strategies and the best online tools to keep your social media accounts active and full of attention commanding posts that your network will love to like, comment and share. You'll never say I don't know what to post again!

 Learner Outcomes:

  • Learn how meeting spaces are evolving to adopt to the new collaborative style of learning delivery that exists today.
  • Consider the different venues types and non-traditional room layouts that help foster connections between the presenter and among delegates.
  • Understand better the culinary trends associated with meetings and events
  • Develop a better understanding of how technology can help build multi-way communication in the room and for virtual participants.
  • Better understand how to work with venues to relay all the valuable information needed related to diets and allergens

  • Ability to create more attention commanding social media posts
  • Knowledge of social media trends and trending tools
